According to trade websites, Dhanush’s 50th film ‘Rayaan’ saw a significant increase in its collections on the second Saturday, taking its total to Rs 69.35 crore in nine days. SaconilcThe film did well in its first week and is now expected to earn more in its second weekend.

Written and directed by Dhanush, ‘Raayan’ has already become one of the most successful Tamil films of the year at the domestic and worldwide box office. It is raking in over Rs 100 crore globally and is expected to reach the same benchmark in terms of net earnings by the end of its second week at the domestic box office.

  • Friday: Rs 13.65 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 13.75 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 15.25 crore
  • Monday: Rs 5.8 crore
  • Tuesday: Rs 4.55 crore
  • Wednesday: Rs 3.85 crore
  • Thursday: Rs 3.25 crore
  • Friday: Rs 3 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 6.25 crore
  • Total: Rs 69.35 crore

Out of this, around Rs 59.25 crore came from the Tamil version alone. The Telugu version earned Rs 8.7 crore, while the Hindi version earned Rs 1.4 crore. This trend is likely to continue as new Hindi releases ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ and ‘Uljhan’ have also not found any buyers in the South market.

‘Raayan’ has surpassed Dhanush’s other successful films released this year at the box office, including ‘Captain Miller’. It is also the actor’s fastest film to gross Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. The film is slowly heading towards creating some records at the ticket window, especially in Tamil Nadu.
