The postpartum period can be a complex experience for many women. After childbirth, there is often a pause in menstruation as the body adjusts. This adjustment period allows new moms to bond with their babies, but it also brings its own challenges, like mood swings and cravings. When periods return, they can provoke mixed emotions, often leading to intense cravings for sweets and comfort foods. Actress Rubina Dilaik, who welcomed twin daughters with her husband Abhinav Shukla in November last year, knows this journey well. Recently, the actress shared an Instagram reel, which perfectly captures the essence of what many mothers are experiencing during these transformative times.
The video shows her eating Gulab Jamun, a beloved Indian sweet, while candidly expressing the emotional ups and downs of motherhood. The overlay text reads, “POV: Periods are back and now hormones throw sweet tantrums.” The actress wrote in the caption, “Postpartum takes different effects on both physical and emotional levels. Sometimes you feel crazy, and sometimes like crazy.”
