Rohit Saraf joins Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thug Life’

Rohit Saraf is all set to work in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film ‘Thug Life’, in which he will share the screen with Kamal Haasan. The project marks Saraf’s pan-India film debut.
Details about Saraf’s character are still not revealed, but sources close to the production have confirmed that he has begun shooting. “Rohit will play an important character in the story,” an insider said. The film is expected to be completed by August 2024, while December 2024 is a likely release date.
Looking ahead, Saraf will reprise his role as Rishi Shekhawat in ‘Mismatched Season 3’ and is also set to star in a Dharma Productions film titled ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ alongside Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor and Sanya Malhotra.
The story of ‘Thug Life’ is written by Kamal Haasan. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Abhirami, Nasir, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Vaiyapuri in lead roles.
Earlier, Jayam Ravi was roped in to play a key role. But, he backed out due to date issues. Now, the news is that Ashok Selvan has been roped in for the role.
Jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies, ‘Thug Life’ has music by AR Rahman, editing by Sreekar Prasad and cinematography by Ravi K Chandran.
