Robert Downey Jr. to get hefty paycheck and jet travel to rejoin Marvel: Report
Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr is reportedly getting a hefty payday to rejoin the Marvel Universe as Doctor Doom. The actor previously played the superhero Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly getting a huge paycheck to rejoin Marvel, reports Variety. The actor will return to play the villain Doctor Doom in Marvel’s upcoming release. Not only RDJ, but the Russo Brothers are also collaborating with Marvel Studios once again for Avengers: Secret Wars and Avengers: Doomsday.
Variety reported that while Russo will receive around $80 million, Downey will get “significantly more” for his new Marvel deal. The actor’s deal also includes perks like “jet travel, security and a full trailer camp.”
According to reports, Robert Downey Jr. is the highest-paid cast member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The news of Downey and Russo’s new Marvel deal comes after Marvel’s failed attempt to recapture its past glory at the box office. While the Ant-Man sequel only made $476 million globally, Marvel’s failed to even crack the $200 million mark internationally.
It should be noted that the Russo Brothers’ last two movies with Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, starring RDJ in the lead, grossed a massive $4.851 billion.
