Ridley Scott and Paul Mescal to reunite for another project after Gladiator II: Learn here

With fans eager to see the Grand Colosseum on the big screen again in the lead up to Paul Mescal’s film Gladiator II, the actor and Ridley Scott are already looking forward to a bright future.

According to recent reports, Ridley Scott and Paul Mescal will be reuniting on a post-apocalypse film. The project is called The Dog Stars, Deadline reports.

While reports suggest that 20th Century has already found a screenwriter for The Dog Stars, an adaptation of Peter Heller’s novel, Mark. l. Smith is currently looking for a way to portray the story on screen. Per Collider, the movie under discussion here will talk about a story depicting the last hope of humanity.

Here it will be shown that a man lives in a ruined world and how he takes his own decisions and goes on a dangerous path.

The story of Dog Stars will take place in a post-apocalyptic world that was affected by a pandemic. The further story is about two people who are forced to live with each other with the sole aim of keeping their territory safe.

The film’s protagonists will be shown as two individuals who cannot stand each other; However, they still have to keep looking at each other, as they don’t have much choice left.

Soon, one of the lead characters hears a voice on the radio and decides to travel towards a better life. However, he must leave the safety of his shelter to complete the quest before him.

However going on this supposed quest doesn’t seem like a very safe option for him, he also has to look out for other survivors who may try to grab anything they can.

The House of Gucci director and Paul Mescal have teamed up for Gladiator II, which will be released in theaters soon.

This new film is a sequel to the 2000s project which starred Russell Crowe as Maximus. Mescal will be seen playing the role of Lucius Verus, who was much younger in the first installment.

Along with Mescal, the film stars a large cast including Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, and Joseph Quinn.

Connie Nielsen will reprise her role as Lucilla, Lucius’ mother.

Gladiator II will be released in the USA on November 22, 2024.
