Ridhima Kapoor first film on first film with Neetu Kapoor, Kapil Sharma: suddenly happened
Ridhima Kapoor made her acting debut in a hearty family film with Mother Neetu Kapoor. The project highlights rare mother-daughter chemistry and a close-bent cast experience in Shimla.

When the late actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s daughter Ridhima Kapoor decided to face the camera for the first time, it was not just another beginning. It was a chapter that tied love together for family, heritage and cinema. In her first acting project, she shares screen space with her mother, Neetu Kapoor, which marks a rare moment in Hindi cinema, where two generations come together-only as mother and daughter, but as co-actor.
In a special conversation with Indianody.inRidhima opens about how this proposal came to her, the advice she sought from her family, her first day on the set in Shimla, and the unforgettable experience of working with Kapil Sharma and a attire artist who felt like a “big family”.
A call was not expecting that
“All this happened so suddenly,” Riddhima remembers with a smile. Mother was already part of the project, and she told me how excited she was about the story. Then one day, I received a call from the production house whether I would play a role in the film. I immediately added the dots. ,
However, his first instinct was not an immediate ‘yes’: “I told my mother that I need time to think. He suggested that I should talk to Bharat, my husband. When I did, he was thrilled and encouraged me to go for it. When I realized that it was meant.”

Script
A zoom call with the film’s team sealed the deal. He said, “The statement lasted for two and a half hours. The story was so hearty, so I walked that I thought – not just a fool! It’s a family film that touches the heart, and I knew that the audience would feel the same way,” she said.
Shooting in Shimla: Leaving home, finding a new new
For Ridhima, the biggest challenge was not facing the camera; It was leaving his daughter behind. He said, “It was away from me for 40-45 days for the first time. It was not easy. But my husband and mother-in-law were very helpful. Later, my daughter came to meet me during her summer breaks, which made it very easy,” she said.
The set in Shimla soon became the second house: “There was no ego, there was no competition. Sadia Kateb and Sarath Sir, everyone was like a family. We put each other’s hands through long work.”
On sharing screen space with Neetu Kapoor

While talking about acting with her mother, Ridhima did Roshni: “We have done a photoshoot together, but this was the first time we were eligible, not only ourselves. It felt natural, comfortable; our chemistry just was swept away. Was to work with him was real.”
Kapil Sharma Energy
If there was a continuation on the set, it was laughter. “Kapil can lighten any mood,” Ridhima says. “Even after the 12-hour schedule, he kept laughing at us. His family was also there, who made the bond even stronger. She really loves everyone,” she says.
After about 52 days, it was not easy to say goodbye: “On the last day, there were tears everywhere. More than 200 people-the cost, crew, assistant and camera team became a team. None of us wanted to leave.”
What can the audience expect
Although the title and release date remains under wrapping, Ridhima promised that the film will be worth waiting. “This is a very touching family story. After seeing this, people want to call their parents, hug them, and want to spend time together. It’s the power of this film,” she said.
Ridhima Kapoor starts more than just one launch; It is a celebration of both on-screen and off bonds. A film with Neetu Kapoor from her side and in the family values makes her visit from hesitant to hearty acceptance for a story as the film is expected to be.
