Actress Ridhi Dogra, who is all set for her next The Sabarmati Report, recently shared in an interview whether she had any objections to working with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. Dogra is part of Abir Gulaal, which will mark Khan’s return to Bollywood after the ban on Pakistani artistes was lifted, and also stars Vaani Kapoor.

Addressing potential concerns about working with Fawad due to his nationality, Riddhi expressed his initial reservations but stressed that art transcends borders. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the actor said, “No matter where a person is… I don’t think there is any division in art. Whenever we watch something, be it a drama or a movie, we only see those characters. We don’t consider what the name of that person (actor) is or who are the people in his house. We don’t see all that; We do not see nationality. So, this is what I thought when I decided to work in the film. I only checked if I was allowed to work with someone of the said nationality (Pakistani). And yes, our country and government allow us. I did that homework. Had it not been so, I would not have done this film.”
