The official trailer for ‘Retro’ is out, showing Suria in a gritty, action-root role, on the contrary he has been taken earlier. The trailer opens with a series of intense scenes, where Suriya’s character is seen carrying the enemies down with a cruelty.

As the story comes out, we see a glimpse of a soft past. Suriya’s character is shown promising her lover, who was played by Pooja Hegde: to walk away from the life of crime and violence. But when the two meet again, it becomes clear that he has gone down from that path only.

‘Retro’ has a strong attire artist, including Jairam, Jujo George, Karunakaran, Nasar and Prakash Raj. Shriya Saran also appears in a special cameo role.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro blends action and drama, paying attention to tension between love, loyalty and the cost of violence.
