WhatsApp is testing a new update that will allow users to select the deadline for disappearance of their messages. It is currently available to beta testers only on Android.
The WhatsApp app is planning to add a host of new features in the app. The latest update disappearance is the message function. Meta-owned stage is increasing timely adaptation to disappear the messages.
According to WABETAINFO, the latest Android beta for WhatsApp gives their messages the ability to choose time to disappear with new options.
In addition to the already existing options for 24 hours, 7 days and 90 days, users can disappear their messages within 1 hour and 12 hours. This gives more flexibility for users who want their messages to be removed quickly.
According to the report, WhatsApp will warn a disclaimer to users that the receiver may not be able to see the message as a result of a short time limit.
The 1-hour limit may be ideal when sharing sensitive information, which the user does not want to store for a long time, such as bank details. However, it increases the possibility of removing the message before being highly seen.
The 12-hour range serves as a balance between 1-hour and 24-hour options, something that can see a strong adoption by WhatsApp users. This feature is subject to testing and WhatsApp is yet to be given a timeline for mass rollouts.
Set a temporary set on WhatsApp soon
Apart from more options, it is not limited to only messages. In another recent beta update, WhatsApp introduced the ability to set the same time limit on the user about the section. The section of the section allows users to give the lesson updates that are visible on their profiles.
Through the update, more and more messages about the update about users will be removed to disappear. This can range from 1 hour to 1 week, although there is also the option to select the custom deadline.
