- This message is said to be better than summary facility
- Currently under Quick Ricap feature is under development
Meta is working on bringing a sleeve of new AI-operated facilities in WhatsApp. One of these is the Ricap feature called Quick Ricap, which will give users a quick summary of the until the until the until. According to WhatsApp feature tracker webtanfo, the feature is currently under development and was seen in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.25.21.12).
Although this feature is not yet available to beta testers, reports that the purpose of Quick Ricap is that users have to improve navigating through long or several chat threads. This feature is reportedly being made at the earlier message summary facility of WhatsApp, which allows users to receive observations of until the until the solo conversation. This summary facility is currently available in the US.
Coming back to the new Quick Ricap feature, it is reportedly increased slightly more than the summary feature. This will enable users to select five chats together and get a brief, AI-generated summary of key messages from each conversation. It is said that users are designed to help protect the time and effort to scroll through endless messages thread, especially after staying away from the app for some time.
How to access this feature
According to the screenshot of the feature shared by WABETAINFO, to reach Quick Ricap, the user will be able to go to the chat tab, choose several conversations, tap on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select the Quick Ricap option. Once active, the in-house AI of the meta will process the until the until and discuss what has been discussed, a summary version of it will prepare a quick and clean way to catch a summary version.
Safety concern
The report stated that the Quick Ricap feature is integrated with the private processing technique of the meta, which promises a privacy-first approach that ensures that the user message remains confident even during AI processing. Meta earlier mentioned that its private processing uses end-to-end encryption, safe enclave and isolated calculation to protect data. As a result, neither WhatsApp nor meta can see the original message or summary generated summary. AI never processes readable data outside the safe enclave, which also protects the material during summary.
Alternative facility
Additionally, the report states that this new quick recap feature will be fully optional for users. It will need to be enabled manually through settings and will not be turned on by default. Any chat protected by WhatsApp’s advanced chat privacy settings will be automatically excluded from convenience.
Official availability is expected soon
For availability, the Quick Ricap feature is currently available in preview only through Android beta channel. WhatsApp is expected to gradually roll it out for testers in the future before releasing all Android users more widely.
