Reliance Jio to offer free Google AI Pro: How to access and what are its features
Reliance Jio has started offering free access to Google’s premium Gemini Pro AI tools for its unlimited 5G users. Here’s how you can claim the features for free.

Reliance Jio’s latest move is set to give AI adoption in India a big boost, and it’s doing it for free. The telecom giant has officially started rolling out its much-awaited offer, giving eligible users free access to Google’s premium Gemini Pro plan, a suite of AI tools worth around Rs 35,100. The offer, which was first teased in October, is now rolling out inside the MyJio app for select customers, marking the beginning of a phased rollout across the country.
Reliance Jio Google AI Pro
The offer stems from a partnership between Jio and Google, which aims to bring advanced AI capabilities to millions of users across India. Under this collaboration, customers subscribing to Jio’s unlimited 5G plan are eligible for 18 months of free access to Gemini Pro plan, Google’s top tier AI subscription.
The plan ties together several cutting-edge tools, including the Gemini 2.5 Pro model for better reasoning and creativity, Nano for on-device AI tasks, and VO 3.1, Google’s next-generation video generation model. It also offers 2TB of cloud storage via Google One, giving users ample space for data, media, and collaborative work.
By combining its massive 5G network with Google’s AI ecosystem, Jio hopes to make advanced digital tools more accessible to young professionals, creators, and students who are eager to explore generative AI but may find the cost prohibitive.
Rollout and Activation Process
However, the rollout is not happening simultaneously. Jio is rolling out this offer in phases, starting with unlimited 5G plans priced at Rs 349 and above for users aged 18 to 25 years. Many early users have already reported seeing a banner in the MyJio app that reads, “Google Gemini’s Pro plan is already activated on your number.”
Once activated, customers can verify their subscription through the Google One app, where it appears as a managed plan under Jio. The integration ensures seamless access to Gemini Pro’s AI tools, including workspace features and advanced productivity options linked to the user’s Google Account.
For those who have not yet received the offer, the process will be straightforward once they arrive. Customers need to open the MyJio app and tap on the “Google Gemini” banner on the home screen. After selecting “Learn More” or “Claim Now”, they will need to sign in with their Gmail ID to activate the benefit. Upon confirmation, users instantly get access to all Pro-tier features, including notifications via both Jio and Google One platforms.
The telecom company has clarified that the eligibility is linked to the active Jio Unlimited 5G plan. Any downgrade, plan expiration, or number porting may automatically revoke complimentary access. Because the rollout is phased, users in different regions and age groups may notice a delay before the offer appears in their accounts.
