Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is set to bring the iconic Mission: Impossible franchise to its peak, with Paramount Pictures confirming the release date of the final film in the series, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. This long-awaited final installment is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on May 23, 2025.
The announcement, with the tagline “Each choice has led to it (sic),” depicts a high-stakes finale where Cruise’s character, Ethan Hunt, will face perhaps his biggest challenge yet.
Since Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, the Christopher McQuarrie-directed series has set new standards in the action genre, pushing the boundaries with ever-increasing scale, death-defying stunts and world-wide intrigue.
Each film has become more ambitious, with Cruise performing increasingly daring stunts – from clinging to airplanes in mid-flight to falling from high altitudes.
