Rekha on her dance sequence with Big B in Suhaag: How is his personality…
Veteran actress Rekha recalls shooting the iconic song O Sheronwali from Suhaag with Amitabh Bachchan. The actor appeared as a special guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Veteran actress Rekha recently shared her experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan in the film Suhaag during her appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show. As a special guest on the show, the actor was asked by a fan about the iconic song O Sheronwali from the film. In this song, Rekha and Amitabh were shown doing Dandiya in a temple.
Remembering the song, a fan asked Rekha, ‘How well you played Dandiya in the film Suhaag. Even though you are a South Indian, you played Gujarati Dhandiya very well. It didn’t seem as if you were not a Gujarati. How did you manage it?”
Although he did not mention Amitabh’s name, he praised him while talking about the dance sequence. ,Just imagine, what kind of person is the person with whom I was playing Dhandhiya. What if I don’t play well? Whether Dandiya comes or not, if such a person comes in front, every part of his body automatically starts trembling. (Just think about the person with whom I was playing Dandiya – what is his personality like. If I did not perform well, what else could I have done? Whether I knew Dandiya or not, when someone like him is in front of you , every part of your existence starts running automatically).
Released in 1979, Suhaag, directed by Manmohan Desai, featured Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Parveen Babi, Amjad Khan, Nirupa Roy, Kader Khan, Ranjeet and Jeevan.
Earlier, during a segment, Kapil had shared with Rekha that he once played the game of Kaun Banega Crorepati with Amitabh Bachchan. A fun conversation ensued, during which the Zubaida actor revealed that she watches KBC and knows every dialogue of the actor by heart.
