Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Note 15 series in China, with the Star Model Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus models, with standard Redmi Note 15. The new pro chain comes with performance, performance technology and significant upgradation in durability, while packing one of the largest battery seen in the Redmi Note lineup. The Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro Plus both have a 7,000mAh battery feature, support fast charging, and designs more rugged than their predecessors. Standard Redmi Note 15 comes as a more affordable option, with a slimmer design and slightly toned-down specification, but still has features such as 120Hz OLED display and fast charging.

Redmi Note 15 Series: Price and Availability

The price of Redmi Note 15 starts at CNY 999 (about Rs 12,200) for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The price of 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB versions is CNY 1,099 (about 13,400 rupees), CNY 1,299 (about Rs 15,800) and CNY 1,499 (about Rs 18,300).

The price of Redmi Note 15 Pro starts at 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option at CNY 1,499 (about 18,300 rupees). The price of 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB versions is CNY 1,699 (about 20,700 rupees) and CNY 1,899 (about Rs 23,200) respectively.

Finally, the price of Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus starts at CNY 1,999 (about Rs 24,400) for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option. The price of 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB versions is CNY 2,199 (about 26,800 rupees) and CNY 2,399 (about 29,200 rupees) respectively. There is also a 16GB + 512GB satellite version, priced at CNY 2,499 (about 30,500 rupees).

All three phones are already on sale in China, a small discount is available for initial buyers. Xiaomi has not yet shared details on international availability.

Redmi Note 15 Series: Key Glasses and Features

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus is the first smartphone to be operated by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7S General 4 Chip and introduces a new cooling system with a ice-seal circulating pump, graphite layers and better thermal conductivity for better heat management during gaming or intensive use. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 15 Pro is powered by a 7400-AULTRA processor of MediaTek. Both devices come with a 6.83-inch OLED display running on 120Hz, with Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass with 3,200 NITs peak shine and protection.

On the camera front, the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony Lyt-800 primary rear sensor, 50-megapixel 2.5x telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Redmi Note 15 Pro has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 50-megapixel Sony Lyt-600 primary sensor with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfie, Note 15 Pro Plus has a 32-megapixel front camera, while Note 15 Pro has a 20-megapixel sensor. Both support 4K video recording.

Both Redmi Note 15 Pro phones have IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, which make them resistant to dust, splatter and even high pressure water jets. They are also built with an ultra-tuff fiberglass back panel and have passed Xiaomi’s drop-resistance tests, including a 2-meter drop test repeated 50 times.

This year the battery capacity is a standout feature, which has a 7,000mAh battery with 90W and 45W fast charging respectively in Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus and Redmi Note 15 Pro. Both models also support 22.5W reverse wired charging. Xiaomi has also launched a satellite messaging version of Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, which can send emergency messages without network connections using Beidou satellites.

In addition to the Note 15 Pro phone, Standard Redmi Note 15 comes with a small 5,800mAh battery and 45W fast charging. It has a 6.77 -inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. The phone is paired with a 50-megapixel Lyt-400 primary sensor with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and has an 8-megapixel front camera. Despite being a slimmer at 7.35 mm, it retains dust and splash resistance with an IP66 rating.
