The Redmi Note 15 series is expected to launch in India soon, and just before Xiaomi makes things official, pricing details of the upcoming phones have surfaced online. The handset has already been introduced in select global markets, and now with the Indian prices rising, the launch buzz has intensified. Xiaomi hasn’t shared an exact launch date yet, only confirming that the phone is “coming soon”. Considering the Redmi Note 14 is scheduled to arrive in India in December 2024, the timing seems about right for its successor. As teasers and reports suggest, the launch could happen later this month or in January 2026. While the wait for a confirmed date continues, Xiaomi has already revealed several key features of the Redmi Note 15 on its official website. What is not clear right now is whether India will get just one model under the Note 15 lineup or multiple variants. Here’s everything that is known so far about the leaked price and confirmed specifications.

The higher 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 24,999. At the moment, there is no information about a Pro or Pro+ model for the Indian market, leaving some uncertainty as to whether Xiaomi plans to expand the lineup later. But, these are not official prices, so users are advised to take them with a pinch of salt.

Key specifications confirmed for India

Xiaomi has gone live with a dedicated product page for the Redmi Note 15 5G on Mi.com, confirming several key details. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. Xiaomi claims that the chip brings a notable jump in performance with better CPU and GPU output and smooth usage of up to four years. This is the same chipset used in the global version of the phone, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The battery capacity has also been confirmed. The Redmi Note 15 5G will pack a 5,520mAh battery, which Xiaomi says can deliver up to 1.6 days of usage on a single charge. It will support 45W fast charging. In global markets, the phone also supports reverse charging, although Xiaomi has not yet clarified whether this feature will be available in India or not.

Talking about the camera, the phone will have a 108-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilization and 4K video recording support. Xiaomi has also confirmed the IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. The display details are equally impressive, with the Redmi Note 15 sporting a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits. Other specifications are still confidential.

Redmi Note 15 already available globally

Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 15 5G in select international markets along with the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and Note 15 Pro+ 5G. In regions like Poland, the standard Note 15 runs on HyperOS 2 and has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The global model comes with a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 108-megapixel main sensor along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It also has an IP rating for water and dust resistance, although the exact certification varies slightly by market.
