The Redmi 14 Pro was recently spotted on the IMEI database, hinting at its upcoming launch. The listing suggests that the Redmi Note 14 Pro, along with its siblings, will debut in China in September, following the pattern set by the Redmi Note 13 series last year. After the initial launch in China, the new Redmi Note 14 series is expected to expand to other markets including India early next year.

The Redmi Note 14 series is expected to include the Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 14 Pro, and Redmi Note 14 Pro+. Ahead of the launch of the phones, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the expected features and specifications of the upcoming smartphones.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Redmi Note 14 Pro may feature a 1.5K micro-curved display. The term “micro-curved” indicates that the screen will have a slight curvature on the sides, providing a sleek look while maintaining a relatively flat surface for user convenience. Additionally, the screen is also expected to have a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, suggesting a design that combines aesthetics with functionality.

In terms of camera, the phone is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera. While this represents a downgrade in terms of megapixel count from the 200-megapixel camera found on the Redmi Note 13 Pro, it is speculated that the Redmi Note 14 Pro will use a better sensor, possibly the Sony Lytia LYT-600. This sensor upgrade is likely to deliver better image quality despite the lower resolution. However, unlike its predecessor, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is not expected to feature a telephoto lens. Instead, it will likely focus on enhancing the performance of the primary camera.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 14 Pro could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. The device is also likely to house a 5,000mAh battery, which promises to last long on a single charge.

Comparing the upcoming Redmi Note 14 Pro with its predecessor, the Redmi Note 13 Pro, several changes and upgrades are evident.

Launched in India in January this year, the Redmi Note 13 Pro featured a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and was powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. It also featured a triple rear camera setup with a 200-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

In contrast, the Redmi Note 14 Pro will have a more advanced primary sensor, but will lack the high megapixel count and telephoto capabilities of its predecessor.
