Redmi 15C 5G first look: MediaTek chip and 6,000mAh battery at Rs 12,499
Redmi has launched its latest smartphone 15C 5G in India. This device brings a big battery and a big display for users in a low budget. The price of Redmi 15C 5G starts at Rs 12,499 and its sale will start from December 11. Here’s your first look at the device.
The Redmi 15C 5G comes in a white box with prominent red branding. But there is no image of the phone on the box. On the front of the box you also discover that the 15C 5G comes with a free 33W fast charger.
Inside the box, you get the device, a protective case, a SIM ejector tool, and a charger. The cable is a USB Type A to Type C cable. The Redmi 15C packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 33W wired charging. There’s also 10W reverse charging if you want to charge your earphones or other accessories.
The Redmi 15C 5G unit we have is in Moonlight Blue color. The back part is made of plastic. This color variant has a glossy finish and shines in the sunlight. The camera module is located on the top left.
The weight of Redmi 15C 5G is 211 grams. The frame is also made of plastic. Despite having a large battery, the 15C is a sleek device with a thickness of 8.05 mm.
The Redmi 15C 5G sports a large 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device comes with a maximum brightness of 810 nits, but it gets a notch for the selfie camera.
Redmi 15C 5G has a single 50-megapixel main camera. The selfie shooter is an 8 megapixel sensor.
Under the hood, the Redmi 15C 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. You also get up to 8GB of virtual RAM.
Redmi 15C 5G runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2. The device will get 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches.
