Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, is preparing to release its entry-level 5G smartphone in India – Redmi 14C. The phone is scheduled to launch on January 6, 2025. After Redmi 13C (launching in 20230), the company aims to bring several upgrades with the 14C. While the company will be unveiling the upcoming phone in a few days, the listing on Amazon shares that the Redmi 14C, for example, is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and a massive 5160mAh battery. Redmi 14C: 5 things we already know about it

– Amazon micro-website reveals that Redmi 14C will come with an attractive and new design compared to Redmi 13C. The phone has a circular island on the rear panel that houses the dual camera set-up. It will come in three colors: Starlight Blue, Stardust Purple and Stargaze Black. While the purple and black versions follow a monochromatic pattern, the blue version features slivers on top and a hint of blue on the bottom, creating an ombre effect. As for durability, the phone is IP52 rated making it water and dust resistant.

– On the front, the phone features a 6.88-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. According to the company, Redmi 14C has the largest display in the segment. The display is also certified with TUV low blue light, TUV flicker free and TUV circadian certifications, making it more friendly to the eyes.

– Under the hood, the Redmi 14C is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and runs on HyperOS. The company claims that the phone has the most efficient 4nm processor in the segment which improves the multitasking game.

Apart from this, it has a 5160mAh battery with 18W charging support. Additionally, the Redmi 14C comes with a 33W charger out of the box.

– As for optics, the Redmi 14C sports a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera. It also has some AI camera features, but details will be revealed during launch.

Redmi 14C: India price leaked

Tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed that the MRP of the base variant of the device, which has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, is priced at Rs 13,999. However, due to the special launch offer, the price may drop to Rs 10,999 or Rs 11,999, which would make it an attractive option in the budget segment.
