Redmi 13 5G will launch in India soon. Amazon has published a page dedicated to this Redmi phone, revealing the key specs, design, launch date, and other details of the Redmi 13. It will be the successor to the Redmi 12 5G smartphone that was announced in August last year and just 10 months later, Xiaomi is bringing the upgraded version to give consumers a better option under Rs 15,000.
The Redmi 13 5G will launch on July 9 at 12 noon. It will have a similar design as the Redmi 12 smartphone. The company has made cosmetic changes to make the already good-looking device even better. It seems to have a boxy design with a dual rear camera setup. It will come in pink and blue colour options, as shown in the teaser. Xiaomi has claimed that the Redmi 13 has a “crystal glass design”, which will give a premium feel to budget phone buyers.
While the display details are yet to be revealed, the company claims that the Redmi 13 5G will have the largest display in this price range. On the front, a punch-hole notch design will be seen. It has confirmed that the display of the device also has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The bezels around the screen are expected to be thin, something we have been able to see in the teaser image. It is worth noting that the Redmi 12 5G has a 6.79-inch LCD screen, so the new version could either have the same screen or a slightly larger panel.
The Redmi 13 5G will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, which is the same as its previous model. Amazon has also confirmed that the device will have a 5030mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Xiaomi will likely also bundle a charger with the smartphone as the company has not yet stopped providing chargers with its phones. The rest of the details are still under wraps and are expected to be revealed soon.
To recall, the Redmi 12 5G was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 10,999. Its successor, the Redmi 13 5G, is also expected to be priced in the same price range due to minor upgrades. Xiaomi may decide to offer the phone at a slightly higher price and offer bank discounts to budget-conscious users. But, the price is not confirmed yet.
