The company’s latest flagship smartphone Realme Neo 7 has finally been launched in China. The series is powered by the flagship chip of the generation, the MediaTek new Dimensity 9300+ chipset. As the latest phone in Realme’s Neo series, this phone succeeds the GT Neo 6, although it does not have the “GT” branding in its name. The Neo 7 brings several upgrades in terms of performance, battery life, and camera features, promising to deliver a solid user experience. Realme Neo 7: Price and availability
Realme Neo 7 is available for purchase in different budget ranges, with different configurations offered for each model. The base variant of the Neo 7 starts at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 25,700) for the 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage option. For those who need more storage, the 12GB plus 512GB variant is priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 29,100). If you need more RAM, the 16GB RAM plus 256GB variant of the Neo 7 is priced at CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 26,800). While the 512GB and 1TB storage variants with 16GB RAM are priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 32,700) and CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 38,500) respectively.
Realme Neo 7 is already available for pre-order and will go on sale in China starting December 16, 2024. There is currently no official update on whether this phone will be launched in India or not.
Realme Neo 7: Specs and features
The Realme Neo 7 has some impressive specifications for a mid-range smartphone. It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, slim 1.49mm bezels, and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness. The screen also supports DC-like dimming and 2,600Hz touch sampling rate at full brightness which helps in relatively better response while gaming. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, paired with an advanced cooling system featuring a 7700 mm² vapor chamber, which is said to be the largest single VC in the industry.
The camera setup of Realme Neo 7 includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP front camera for selfies. The device is available in three color options – Starship (silver), Submariner (blue), and Meteorite Black. The phone’s silver and blue colors feature engravings and silver accents, while the camera island appears to be housed in metal with a small HyperImage+ branding at the bottom right. The phone is IP69-rated, making it highly resistant to dust and water.
Powering the Realme Neo 7 is a 7000mAh battery, which offers 80W fast charging capability and supports reverse charging. The battery is claimed to be designed for long-term use, retaining more than 80% health even after 1800 charge cycles or five years. Realme also offers a four-year battery warranty in China, promising free replacement if the battery health drops below 80% within that time frame.
To summarize, the Realme Neo 7 is packed with top-tier hardware that promises to deliver solid performance, good cameras, and long-lasting stamina. However, as mentioned above, it remains to be seen whether Realme will launch this phone in India or not.
