Realme GT 7 Pro is set to launch in India on November 26, but there is a notable change in its battery specifications compared to the Chinese version. While the phone debuted in China with a 6500mAh battery, the Indian variant will have a smaller 5800mAh battery. This adjustment makes it fall short of the initial expectation of being the largest smartphone battery in India. Despite this change, the Amazon listing of the phone is already live, indicating its imminent availability. Fans of the brand can expect more details as the launch date approaches.

According to GSM Arena, Realme India has confirmed that the low battery capacity of the GT7 Pro is accurate and not an Amazon error. When asked about the reason, Realme attributed the change to “regulations”, but did not specify which ones. This lack of clarity leaves the question unanswered: Did Realme limit itself to a Si/C dual-cell battery for marketing reasons, or did they use a cheaper 5,800mAh Li-Ion battery to cut costs? Full details can be revealed only after dismantling an Indian unit to reveal the actual battery inside.
