Realme has launched a new budget smartphone in India. Called Realme 14x, this smartphone has joined the company’s new numbered series. In the coming weeks, Realme will also launch its flagships in the series – Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+. Realme 14x is currently the most affordable in the series and its price starts at Rs 14,999. The smartphone has some heavy-duty specifications – which you’d typically expect from more expensive phones – including a 6,000mAh battery, a 50-megapixel camera, and a 120Hz refresh rate display.

Realme 14x: Price in India, launch offers, more

Realme 14x has been launched in the market in two RAM variants. While both variants offer 128GB of on-board storage, one offers 6GB of RAM, and the other has an 8GB option. Talking about the price, the price of 6GB model is Rs 14,999 and the price of 8GB model is Rs 15,999. The phone is now available for purchase through Realme’s official website and Flipkart.

There is also a bank offer of up to Rs 1,000, but this is limited to the first sale, which is today, December 18.

The smartphone comes in three color options: Crystal Black, Golden Glow and Jewel Red.

Realme 14x: Specifications and features

The Realme 14x is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, coupled with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. Both variants offer 128GB of on-board storage. The chipset is built on 6nm manufacturing process. Its octa-core processor has a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz, and is coupled with an ARM G57 MC2 GPU.

For longer lifespan, the device also comes with features like SonicWave Water Ejection and Rainwater Smart Touch. The device also has IP69 dust and water resistance, which is rare in this segment. You generally get less certification in smartphones priced below Rs 15,000.

Fueling the Realme 14x is a massive 6,000mAh battery, backed by a 45W fast charger. Realme claims that with fast charging technology, the smartphone can be charged up to 50 percent in 38 minutes.

Realme 14x features a 6.7-inch HD+ display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz instant touch sampling rate. The display offers 1604 X 720 pixels resolution, 89.97 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a peak brightness of 625nits.

For photography, the Realme 14x has a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It also has an 8 megapixel selfie camera.

The Realme 14x runs Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0, and promises 2 generations of Android updates. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
