Realme has recently confirmed the launch of its new series Realme 13 Pro in India. At the Realme AI Imaging Media Preview event in Bangkok, the smartphone company unveiled the camera features of the series, calling it the “first professional ultra-clear camera with AI”. The media event, which had the theme “The future is here: AI is revolutionizing mobile imaging”, brought together industry leaders and experts to explore the transformative impact of AI on mobile imaging technology. The upcoming series will feature a collaboration with Sony. The upcoming smartphone will feature Sony’s LYT-701 camera sensor, the world’s first.

This innovative sensor promises to deliver advancements in imaging experiences, further empowered by realme’s industry-leading AI photography architecture, HYPERIMAGE+. Taking a significant step forward in its AI innovation, realme has developed HYPERIMAGE+, the industry’s first AI photography architecture, with a three-layer architecture consisting of flagship optics, on-device AI imaging algorithms, and cloud-based AI image editing.

Realme 13 Pro series with HYPERIMAGE+ camera feature

According to the company, the foundation of HYPERIMAGE+ is the first layer, which consists of cutting-edge optics. This includes multiple lenses, periscope lenses, and large sensors, which provide the building blocks needed to capture high-quality images.

On top of this solid layer, AI imaging algorithms and AI image editing work together to further refine image data and improve the visual quality of photos and videos. This new, comprehensive approach takes mobile photography to a whole new level, allowing users to capture professional-grade images right from their smartphones.

Realme 13 Pro+ features a dual main camera system, consisting of a 50MP OIS main camera with the world’s first Sony LYT-701 camera sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with Sony LYT-600 that supports 3x optical zoom. This advanced system enables the phone to deliver great image quality in a variety of scenarios, from low-light settings to stunning portraits.

The Realme 13 Pro Series 5G also features a number of advanced functions, including AI Pure Bokeh, AI Natural Skin Tone, and AI Ultra Clarity. With AI Pure Bokeh, the camera is able to accurately identify the foreground, mid-ground, and background elements in a scene, as well as the subject being photographed, which is used to perform pixel-level segmentation of objects and apply targeted algorithmic optimization and processing to create realistic cinematic portraits in seconds. AI Natural Skin Tone can enhance the natural look of various skin tones using on-device AI processing, while AI Ultra Clarity, a cloud-based AI image editing feature, can significantly enhance low-resolution photos to deliver great quality photos that overcome the physical constraints of the underlying camera hardware.

Ahead of its upcoming launch, the Realme 13 Pro+ has also received the High Resolution Camera certification by TœV Rheinland Certification, an international independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization. Underlining Realme’s commitment to popularizing AI and empowering young users to capture their world in a whole new way, the Realme 13 Pro Series 5G is all set to launch in India soon.
