Bravo has revealed the premiere date for The Real Housewives of New York season 15, along with a drama-packed trailer that promises plenty of surprises.
In the preview, fans meet the newest member of the cast: fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff. One of the cast members, Uba Hassan, enthusiastically says, “I know your name like I know Coca-Cola.” However, Brian Whitfield throws a little shade, commenting, “Have you ever heard of her? If you’ve been to Nordstrom Rack you’ve probably seen her stuff.”
Another new cast member is model and curator Raquel Chevremont, who becomes the second lesbian housewife on the show. Whitfield jokes, “Uh-oh, Jenna’s got competition,” during a confessional. Jenna Lyons, who made history as the show’s first openly gay star, admitted she has a slight crush on Chevremont, saying, “I can’t deny that Raquel is hot.”
In the trailer, Ubah Hassan accuses her fellow cast members of being pigeonholed. “Everyone here is pigeonholed,” she declares, and calls one member “the biggest pigeonhole ever!” Though it’s unclear what Ubah means, Erin Lachey quickly responds, “I don’t want to be pigeonholed.”
Brian Whitfield joins in, calling someone the “pigeon lady of Central Park,” while another artist suggests, “Sue the pigeons!” The term could be a metaphor for how artists spread gossip, like pigeons delivering messages.
An example of this gossip is Erin revealing a shocking pregnancy rumor. Whitfield asks, “Is she pregnant again?” Lachey confirms, “So she hasn’t been drinking.” Jessel Tank tells his mother that the woman “had a wild night and got pregnant by another man.”
Ahead of the Season 15 premiere on Tuesday, October 1 at 9 p.m. ET, Bravo is hosting a fan event on Friday, September 20 at the Chelsea Factory in New York City. The event will feature an autumn apple orchard setting and give fans a chance to experience the show through a larger-than-life photo opportunity inspired by the stylish cast.
The Real Housewives of New York City is produced by Shed Media, with Lisa Shannon, Lauren Volonakis, Anne Swan and Andy Cohen executive producing. Eric Fuller and Alfonso Rosales co-executive produce.
