Raveena Tandon has sent a defamation notice to a person who tweeted a video of her being assaulted by a mob. This road rage incident happened recently and the video quickly gained attention on social media. Raveena’s legal team has taken action against the person for spreading defamatory content.
Raveena Tandon has sent a defamation notice to a man named Mohsin Shaikh after he posted a video alleging that the actress was drunk on the night of the road rage incident. She has sent a defamation notice of Rs 100 crore to Mohsin Shaikh.
Talking about this, the actor’s lawyer Sana Rais Khan told us, “Recently, an attempt was made to embroil Raveena in a false and frivolous complaint, which was made clear by the CCTV footage and no complaint was lodged. However, recently, a person claiming to be a journalist has been circulating false information on X regarding the said incident, which is factually incorrect and misleading.”
He further added, “This circulation of false news appears to be a deliberate attempt to tarnish Raveena’s reputation. The motive behind continuously spreading these falsehoods appears to be extortion and a desire to gain cheap publicity at the cost of Raveena’s dignity. We are currently taking all necessary legal steps to resolve the issue and ensure that justice is served and action is taken against those continuing this defamatory campaign.”
Earlier this month, a video went viral on social media in which a woman was complaining that she was hit by Raveena Tandon’s car and that the actress and her driver assaulted her. However, a CCTV clip was later released, refuting the claim that the woman was hit by Raveena’s car.
