Raveena Tandon refused to do a film with Shahrukh, said- ‘costumes were like objects’
Raveena Tandon revealed that she turned down a film with Shah Rukh Khan because costumes were objectified in it. It is reported that she was also offered Yash Chopra’s ‘Darr’.

Raveena Tandon recalled signing a film with Shah Rukh Khan that didn’t work out. The ‘KGF 2’ actress said she had to walk out of a film with SRK because she found the costumes “weird and offensive”. For those who don’t know, Raveena and Shah Rukh had signed four films together but it didn’t work out as they wanted.
Raveena Tandon revealed that she and Shah Rukh Khan had planned to sign a film together but it was not possible because of costume issues. Filmfare“It was with Shah Rukh Khan and I almost signed it, but when it came time to discuss the costumes, the costumes were really weird. It wasn’t something I would feel comfortable wearing. I felt it was a bit too objectifying. I said, ‘No, sorry, I can’t do that.'”
She said, “Shah Rukh Khan said, ‘Are you crazy? Why are you saying no now?’, because we were already doing a great musical film called ‘Jaadu’. And we were doing ‘Zamaana Deewana’ and we really got along well with each other.”
Praising the superstar, she said, “Shah Rukh Khan is one of the funniest, warmest and gentlest co-actors I have worked with. He is a gentleman at heart. And I told him I can’t wear those clothes.”

I didn’t do another film because I wasn’t happy with the costumes so I backed out. We did ‘Zamaana Deewana’ but that also got delayed,” she added. “‘Darr’ was something that was offered to me but I backed out,” she added.
Talking about the work front, Raveen Tandon was last seen in ‘Patna Shukla’, ‘Ghodchadhi’ and ‘Karma Calling’. The actor will next be seen in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.
