Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have created a new record on Instagram with their first wedding pictures. Her carousel is the most liked post by an Indian account on Rashmika’s official handle.

The actors got married on Thursday in a private ceremony held at a resort near Udaipur, which was attended by only close family members and friends. Within 48 hours, Rashmika’s wedding post received over 24 million likes, surpassing the previous record held by cricketer Virat Kohli’s post on winning the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.

The post has emerged as the second most liked Instagram post ever from an Indian account, after content creator Kishore Mandal’s viral reel, which received 51 million likes last year.

Kohli’s post celebrating India’s victory in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup had earlier received 22.8 million likes. Rashmika’s achievement highlights the immense popularity of the couple and the overwhelming response from fans on social media.

Hours after the ceremony, both the actors shared pictures from the wedding. Rashmika posted a carousel of candid pictures along with an emotional note, introducing Vijay as her husband. The heartfelt message, reflecting love, companionship and personal growth, connected with followers and was shared widely across all platforms.

Rashmika and Vijay worked together for the first time Geeta Govindam (2018) and later dear comrade (2019). Although speculation about their relationship had been ongoing for years, the actors did not publicly confirm it until their marriage was announced.
