On Paras Chhabra’s podcast, Rashami revealed that all this happened shortly after her divorce from actor Nandish Sandhu. She had no contact with her friends or family, who felt her decision was wrong and she was difficult. She described those four days as ‘very difficult’.
Talking about her financial condition, Rashmi said, “I had bought a house during that time and had taken a loan of around Rs 2.5 crore. Apart from this, I had a total debt of Rs 3.25-3.5 crore. I thought everything was fine, but then suddenly my show got shut down.”

She joked about how she slept in her Audi for four days and ate only Rs 20 worth of food, which sometimes contained small pebbles. “I was on the road for four days. I had an Audi A6 and I would sleep in that car. All my luggage was at my manager’s house. I was completely cut off from my family. In those days, rickshaw-wallahs would give food for Rs 20. It would come in a plastic bag containing dal and rice, and they would give two rotis with it. There were some stones in it, but I still ate. It was a very tough four days,” she said.
He eventually sold his Audi A6 for Rs 15 lakh to pay off his debts. Things started to change after his next show ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’, in which he starred opposite Sidharth Shukla. He laughingly said that he later bought an Innova, adding, “At least you can sleep in it. Sleeping in the Audi was very uncomfortable.”
Rashami Desai was last seen in ‘JNU: Jahangir National University’ alongside Urvashi Rautela and Siddharth Bodke.
