Rasavati will premiere on Prime Video
Rasavati will start streaming on Prime Video on June 21, 2024. The news was shared by director Santhakumar himself on his social media platform X and wrote, “Rasavati will be streaming on Amazon Prime, Aha and Simply South (South only, except India) from June 21. #Rasavati.”
Soon after the director’s post went viral, fans took to his comments section and expressed their excitement for its OTT release.
One user wrote, “This is a great opportunity for those who missed it on the big screen and great for me too as I missed the first few minutes…all your art was more relevant to me than my other favourite directors…keep us engaged with your work…ATB.”
Another wrote, “OTT should showcase the directors best film along with their new releases, which will get more organic views than standalone promotions.”

The story revolves around a former convict doctor and his wife who try to live a peaceful life in Kodaikanal, but their efforts are threatened by an inspector who is out for revenge. What happens between them later forms the interesting plot of the film.
Apart from Arjun Das, this thriller drama stars Tanya Ravichandran, Reshma Venkatesh, Sujith Shankar, GM Sundar, Sujatha Sivakumar and Ramya Subramaniam in important roles.
The music and background score were composed by noted composer S. Thaman, and the cinematography was jointly done by Saravanan Ilavarasu, Shiva GRN and VJ Sabu Joseph.
