Rapper Wiz Khalifa apologizes after being arrested for drug possession in Romania

Rapper Wiz Khalifa was arrested in Romania over the weekend on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs. He apologized on social media after being released.
Wiz Khalifa, famous for his popular track ‘See You Again’, was arrested for possessing more than 18 grams of marijuana during a recent concert held at Costinesti Resort in Constanta County, Romania, and he smoked some marijuana in the form of craft cigarettes on stage, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
“We clarify that, throughout the entire criminal procedure, the persons investigated benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Criminal Procedure Code, as well as the presumption of innocence,” a statement from Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors said.
The rapper was charged with illegal drug possession following his performance on Saturday night but was later released.
Following this, Wiz Khalifa shared a note on X, which read, “Last night’s show was amazing. I didn’t mean to show any disrespect to the country of Romania by turning the lights up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon.”
