Ranvir Shorey on his ‘BB OTT 3’ experience: It’s all a big mess | Exclusive
Ranvir Shorey opens up to IndiaToday.in about his journey on ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. The actor lost the trophy to Sana Maqbool and Naezy in the finale.

Actor Ranvir Shorey, who finished third in Bigg Boss OTT 3, spoke to IndiaToday.in and shared his journey on the show. Shorey openly said that he came on the show to enjoy the experience, which he did.
The actor ended his journey at third place. Naezy finished behind winner Sana Maqbool.
Talking about his experience and journey on the show, the actor said, “It was an intense experience, a roller coaster ride. The show takes you through a lot of emotions that blur the reality of who you are and who others are. It’s all a big mess but you learn a lot about yourself and people. I tried to make the best of whatever I had.”
The fights between Ranveer and Sana Maqbool were well known throughout the season. He was perhaps the only contestant who insisted that Sana did not deserve to win. When asked about the same, he replied, “The show has been unpredictable. Not just about her winning, but also about the many eliminations that have happened before. However, it is all about what and how Bigg Boss wants you to play, and a lot also depends on the votes and fans. So, one has to respect that.”
In several interviews, Ranvir Shorey revealed that a show like ‘Bigg Boss’ requires a social media presence, which unfortunately he doesn’t have. When asked the reason for choosing the show, the ‘Lakshya’ actor said, “See I came here not to impress anyone but to live this experience. I have been a part of reality shows before and it was long overdue. I have been approached for this show every season for the last 10 years. As I have already mentioned, this time things went well as I didn’t have any shooting and my son was also travelling. So I could take a break from the family for that time.”
Ranvir Shorey said that people often think of him as impatient, but he discovered his patience during the six-week journey. He also addressed the audience’s perception that he shows off and dresses less to look ‘humble’ and gain sympathy. IndiaToday.in had asked him a similar question during the media rounds, which he dismissed at the time.
Now defending himself, the actor elaborated, “The brief given by the team was that we have to carry one big and one small suitcase. I thought we have to live here like we live at home and wash the clothes and wear them again. But when I came inside, I found that people were also carrying several containers along with the prescribed suitcases. It’s not that I don’t have good clothes, I just didn’t carry them with me. Also, I am not someone who is fond of dressing up like some of the boys in the house this time. But I definitely wasn’t dressed like a gardener, as Munawar (Munawar Faruqui) mentioned during his visit. I just went by what was written in the brief and I got in trouble because of it.”
Lastly, we asked Ranvir Shorey if he would advise a friend to participate in Bigg Boss. He said, “I would first have to see if that friend is a heart patient. They need to be really healthy and strong as this show is not for the faint hearted.”
Bigg Boss OTT 3 streamed on Jio Cinema. Sana Maqbool won ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ won the title while Neji was declared the runner-up.
