Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan react to Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma’s retirement from T20
After India won the World Cup on June 29, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from T20 World Cup cricket. Following the announcement, Bollywood celebrities took to social media to express their views on the retirement news.
Team India brought glory to the country by winning the World Cup on June 29. However, after this celebration, it was also announced that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are going to retire from T20 cricket. Many celebrities including Kamal Haasan, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal and Vivek Oberoi shared their thoughts on social media after this news.
Kamal Haasan praised the team and praised Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Expressing his pride, he wrote, “@ImRo45 you were part of the immortal team that won the first T20 World Cup in 2007. Your extraordinary career has come a full circle as you bid adieu to international T20 cricket as world champions. @imVkohli In time, the King will come too! (sic)”
Signing off as ‘A Grateful Indian’, Kamal wrote, “Thank you champs! Only you two could have scripted this fairytale ending.”

Varun Dhawan shared his thoughts on social media and wrote, “India- what a team, what a performance @RohitSharma45 leading from the front in every game @ViratKohli playing his last T20 for India making every Indian so happy. Rahul Dravid was always one of my favourite players and now to see him win the World Cup as a coach is amazing. Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”

Ranveer posted a long note on his Instagram in which he congratulated Team India for their magnificent win. He began it by writing, “The King has dropped the anchor. What an end to an incredible career! @viratkohli (sic).”
The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actor then posted another story, in which he wrote, “What a way to win. Almost lost everything. And then… fighting back. What a fitting tribute to one of Indian cricket’s greatest champions, Rahul ‘The Wall’ Dravid. @indiancricketteam (sic).”

Vivek Oberoi also congratulated Team India on their magnificent win. Sharing his thoughts on the win, he wrote, “I am in an absolute emotional torture right now! On Saturday, June 29, India pulled off a thrilling 7-run win over South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, and lifted the trophy for the second time.
