Ranbir Kapoor, who attended an event in Dubai with Alia Bhatt, answered questions about his appearance on social media. He clarified that although he is not officially on Instagram, he operates a Finsta account.

The actor described the motivations behind his decision and the content he shared privately, offering a rare glimpse into his personal online activity. He also explained why he does not allow his wife Aaliya to follow his account.

Ranbir shared, “Not officially on Instagram. I have a word, finsta, which is a fake Insta account. Because there are such amazing people in the world who are doing such amazing, inspiring things. So I want to follow them.”

He also elaborated on his reluctance to engage with Instagram publicly. He said, “But because I am an actor, I did not want to come on Instagram officially. Then I would have the responsibility to show myself to the world and I felt that I already have a medium, which is acting in films, and that is enough for me to show myself to the world.”

Discussing the content on her Finsta account, the 43-year-old said, “Actually, on my Finsta account, I made a reel with my daughter (Raha) and posted it. But I don’t have any followers, so it’s just for air.”

Alia joined the conversation and said, “He wouldn’t even let me follow him. He’s like ‘no’ because if you follow me, everyone will follow me. So I’m like peeking into his phone. He has two reels on his Finsta account that only he and maybe two people can see.”

Ranbir further said, “Listen, if she follows me the world will know.”

After working together in ‘Brahmastra’, the pair will be seen opposite Vicky Kaushal in the upcoming film ‘Love and War’. This film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is scheduled to release in 2026.
