Ranbir Kapoor told why he was scared after reading the script of Animal?
Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor recently joined Nikhil Kamath for an interview on his YouTube channel. Talking about his life, career and everything in between, the actor said that back in the time when his father Rishi Kapoor ruled Bollywood, the audience used to forgive actors even if they did films on the same story.
But according to him, he is not so forgiving now. Citing the example of his commercially successful film Animal, he said that he was scared when he first heard its story.
In support of his statement, Kapoor argued that for the past one year he has been doing good films with a social message and playing the ‘good boy’ in romantic films. Then he got this bold and ‘adulterated’ film. He was afraid that the audience would not accept him in this role.

During the same interaction, he said that some people found the film misogynistic and misogynistic. However, he felt the idea behind the film was ‘misunderstood’ and social media wreaked havoc. The actor further revealed that some people also said that he shouldn’t have done the film and were disappointed in him for playing the lead role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. To them, he simply apologised and said, “Sorry yaar, I won’t do it next time.”
When asked if he would do it again, the actor said, “100%.” He added that he is reaching a saturation point in his career. “I was called the next superstar for a very long time. But Animal was the right film at the right time.” It took his career a step forward, gave him confidence and helped him “transform from a boy to a man.” Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Ramayan.
