Kapoor family members including Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor and others met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to invite him to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor. Talking about the meeting, Ranbir Kapoor admitted that he was nervous about it, while Kareena Kapoor called it a dream come true moment for her.
The Prime Minister’s Office released an exclusive video from the meeting on December 11, 2024, where Ranbir Kapoor shared his experience of meeting with the politician. He shared that the meeting with the Prime Minister was a special day for his family and he expressed his gratitude to him for the honor and giving of his valuable time.
The Animal actor said that he enjoyed chatting with her and even asked her some personal questions. He also admitted that everyone, including him, was nervous about the meeting. However, the Prime Minister’s warm nature helped him feel at ease.
Kapoor said, “He spoke in a very friendly manner. I think the nervousness that was there between us, and the air around us was all tight. But he was very nice and he made us all feel very comfortable. I really Thank them,” (he said) with a friendly disposition, I think we were all nervous, but that was cool.)
Kareena Kapoor also shared her excitement at sharing this moment with the Prime Minister and described it as a dream come true. “It was my dream to sit next to PM Modi and talk to him. His energy is very positive, and he is truly a global leader,” he said. During the conversation, the politician, in a light-hearted moment, also asked the actress about her sons Taimur and Jeh, and shared a special autograph for them.
Apart from them, Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and others also shared pictures and their experiences of meeting Modi on their Instagram handles.
For those unaware, the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival will be organized to mark the birth centenary of Raj Kapoor. The occasion was witnessed in 40 theaters and 135 screens across ten cities.
