Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor bid an emotional farewell to their Ganpati Bappa before bidding him a final farewell in Mumbai. On September 11, the mother-son duo was spotted bringing their Ganesh idol to the immersion site in Mumbai and performing the final aarti with their acquaintances and staff. When they returned to their cars to head home, like a responsible son, Ranbir escorted his mother to her vehicle, and pulled her out through the excited crowd of fans.
After welcoming the elephant god on Ganesh Chaturthi and taking care of him for a few days, Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor took the idol to the dedicated location in Mumbai to immerse it. The Animal actor was seen carrying the idol in his arms while his mother held a silver kalash with a coconut. Soon after, they performed the immersion puja and left the location. As they returned to their vehicles, excited crowds gathered around them to click pictures.
This was the time when Ranbir took the responsibility of protecting his mother. He quickly protected her with both his hands and safely carried her to her car. See how he remains alert at all times, ensuring that his mother is safe and sound. After dropping her and ensuring that she is well seated in her car, the actor clicked a few selfies with his fans and admirers and then left the venue in his luxury vehicle.

The Rockstar actor wore a beige coloured kurta with bright floral prints on this auspicious occasion. He paired it with white pants. His mother, JugJugg Jeeyo actress Neetu Kapoor wore a pink coloured kurta-pyjama with a matching dupatta. She completed her look with a gold and magenta coloured layered necklace along with matching earrings, finger rings and bangles. While Ranbir and Neetu stepped out together to perform the Ganpati Visarjan ritual, Alia Bhatt stepped out for a stroll in Mumbai with her princess Rhea Kapoor.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir is busy shooting for Ramayan while Alia has Zigra and Alpha.
