Imtiaz Ali is an acclaimed Bollywood director who has worked with several B-Town stars over the decades. Hence, he knows all the strengths and flaws of the stars that differentiate them from each other. A few days ago, he praised Ranbir Kapoor, saying that he has a mix of both art and craft.
During a brief interview with Buzzooka Events, the filmmaker was asked to name a Bollywood actor who is great at his craft and also knows the art of filmmaking, someone who also helps Ali in directing. Answering this, the Rockstar director said, “Ranbir Kapoor has a good mix of both, technique also comes very naturally to him. But, he is also spontaneous. So, I think he is a very good mix of both.”
Well, it’s not just Amar Singh Chamkila director who is crazy about the Animal star. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, renowned casting director Mukesh Chhabra also praised Kapoor for being a star in the age of the internet without any official social media handle. Describing Ranbir as ‘number 1’, the Dil Bechara director told us, “I think that woh jo Ranbir Kapoor ka charm hai na woh jo ek hai na woh log unko dekhne ke paagal hai jo tadapte hain jab uski film aayi hai, I think that woh Ranbir Kapoor jo hai us order me woh number 1 hai (Ranbir Kapoor’s charm is that people go crazy and crave for him when his film releases, in that order he is number 1).”
Ranbir Kapoor made his acting debut in 2007 with the film Saawariya opposite Sonam Kapoor. Since then, the actor has proven his talent as a fine performer with several big-budget successful films. Last year, he played a lover boy in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkah opposite Shraddha Kapoor and soon after that, played a dark character in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. He is currently busy shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayan alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash.
