Ranbir Kapoor in negative role in YRF’s Dhoom 4, will shoot after Ramayan: Report
Actor Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly agreed to star in YRF’s Dhoom 4. This will be the 25th film of his career and the shooting will begin after completing work with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana series.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor has recently signed YRF’s Dhoom 4. At least that’s what the latest discussion in the media suggests. The actor, who is currently shooting for Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayan, will next be expected to start the fourth film of Aditya Chopra’s Dhoom franchise.
According to a report published in pinkvillaRanbir has given his final approval to the producers and Chopra is busy finalizing the script with writer Vijay Krishna Acharya. A source close to the production said that YRF is looking to completely ‘reboot’ the entire franchise and Ranbir will play a key role in it. Apart from Ranbir, the rest of the casting is going to happen soon and no one from the old Dhoom films will be cast in the fourth film.
The report quoted a source as saying, “Dhoom is a franchise that is dear to Aditya Chopra, and he has decided to reboot the franchise to keep it in line with the current times. Like all the previous parts, Dhoom 4 ( Dhoom Reloaded) has been developed by Aditya Chopra along with the script by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the idea and vision is to create a cinematic experience like never before with the fourth Dhoom film.
“Ranbir confirmed to lead the franchise”
Talking about Ranbir’s involvement in the film and how he came into the film, the source said, “Discussions with Ranbir have been going on for a long time. He always showed interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 after hearing the basic idea. Was.” And now finally confirmed to lead the franchise, Adi Chopra feels RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the legacy of Dhoom.”
There will be two new faces in the film as police-friends and Ranbir may play the negative role. The report says, “Dhoom 4 will have two big heroes of the young generation playing the roles of a pair of police friends.”
The idea is to make Dhoom 4 a big cinematic spectacle, to compete with the action-giants of Hollywood. This will also be the 25th film of Ranbir’s career and he wants it to be a big benchmark defining his versatility as an actor. The popular star, who turns 42 today on September 28, has now got his pipeline booked till 2028.
After finishing Ramayan 1 and 2, there is Dhoom 4, followed by Animal Park, the anticipated sequel to his mega-successful Animal, which released last year.
