Rana Daggubati touches Shah Rukh’s feet at IIFA 2024 event: We are completely South Indians
Rana Daggubati touched the feet of Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar at the IIFA 2024 event held in Mumbai on September 10. Shah Rukh welcomed Rana with a kiss and a hug.
Rana Daggubati showed how South Indians do it by touching Shah Rukh Khan’s feet at the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) Awards 2024 press conference. Before Rana, Siddhant and Abhishek touched their respective feet for fun. Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Rana Daggubati, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee attended the event held in Mumbai on September 10.
At the press conference, Karan invited Rana on stage. The Baahubali actor touched Shah Rukh and Karan’s feet and said, “We are pure South Indians. That’s just the way we act.” Shah Rukh smiled and hugged and kissed him.

Speaking at the event, Rana recalled the time when Shah Rukh played the role of a perfect host and entertained celebrities from all the four South Indian industries at his home in Dubai.
He said, “Sir, I don’t know if you remember. We knew four languages and once we had an event in Dubai. We came to an after-party at your house.” Shah Rukh immediately replied, “Should I tell them about it? I was trying to keep it a secret.”
Rana revealed how “hospitable” Shah Rukh was at the party. He said, “He really entertained artistes from all four industries – not just as an actor, but also as a human being. Thank you.”
The Leader actor then praised Karan Johar and said, “It all started with you. You made Baahubali reach here. It was the first time when all languages started speaking cinema in some form or the other. So, thank you for that.” He also thanked IIFA for bringing all the actors and celebrities together.
Before Rana Daggubati came on stage, actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee touched Karan Johar’s feet after welcoming him on stage, leading to cheers from the audience present there.

The IIFA Awards 2024 will be held from September 27 to 29 at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Shah Rukh confirmed that it will feature special performances by Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
