Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming mythological epic Ramayana is one of the most awaited films in Bollywood. To ensure that it is a visual spectacle, the film is already made on a sufficient budget to ensure that it is a visible spectacle. Meanwhile, the film’s producer Namit Malhotra also expressed his desire to make it globally such as Open Aimmer and Forest Gums.
During a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, the creator of Ramayana and the leading honor of VFX Studio Daneg talked about the mythological epic led by Ranbir Kapoor. He mentioned that he is not only planning to make India proud, but also encourages the world about the story of the Indian story, which takes it globally with a high-determined film.
To celebrate global cinema together, Malhotra clarified his faith, saying, “It’s not that we do not like Hollywood films. It’s not that we do not see an openhemeer and have a great feeling, or a forest gump, or any of them, you know, I also do this work. I also tell that it is universal. I am universal. I am universal. I am universal. I am universal. Is it universal.
In particular, NAMIT has seven Oscars for the best visual effects for path-breaking films such as Intersteller and Dune. Asked whether Ramayana would be able to achieve something similar for Indian cinema, he assured that he saw that ability in the film. However, he also accepted the responsibility of a large scale to him to present the world.
The film has been adapted to the film being made in the past, with the latest Edipurs- which could not perform well at the box office. In response, the producer mentioned that his team understood the need to tell the story properly.
He said, “That’s why we are trying to be very careful and cautious, that we do it with utmost care and extremely sensitivity. Because, okay, you know, this opportunity does not come again and again, and this is the moment for India right now,” he said.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the Ramayana also includes Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, and lead roles. Both parts of the film will be released on Diwali 2026 and 2027 respectively.
