Ram Pothineni’s Double iSmart release to clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule
The upcoming sequel film Double iSmart is the second collaboration of actor Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh. The actor and director had previously come together for the 2019 film iSmart Shankar.
The science-fiction action film tells the story of Shankar, a street-smart goon who is on the run from the police after killing a politician. In a turn of events, Shankar becomes the subject of a scientific experiment where the memories of a slain police officer are transferred to him, which will help solve a high-profile case. The rest of the film focuses on how Shankar’s identity is changed, leaving us questioning whether he has reformed.
The film was a huge commercial success for Ram Pothineni, and now the team is collaborating on a spiritual sequel. The yet-to-release film is co-produced by Charmme Kaur, and stars Kavya Thapar, Sayaji Shinde, Bani J, Getup Srinu, Ali, Makarand Deshpande and many others in pivotal roles.
With Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule also expected to hit the theatres on the same day, it will be interesting to see how Ram Pothineni’s film clashes with Pushpa 2.
