Ram Charan is all set to continue shooting for his film RC16 directed by Buchi Babu Sana. According to a report now doing the rounds, the film is likely to be titled Peddi.
In a report in Times Now, Janhvi Kapoor co-star Ram Charan starrer sports drama flick is called Peddi, giving it an exciting title. The report claims that the producers are happy with the title as it suits the film’s story.
The report also states that the film is based on a specific time period of Uttarandhra and the title provides a thematic connection to the film. Apparently, the title goes well with Charan’s character in the film and will work well with the audience.
Although the makers are also considering other title options, Ram Charan is believed to be happy with the title Peddi. However, no official confirmation regarding this has been made by the manufacturers yet.
The much-awaited film starring Ram Charan in the lead role marks Janhvi Kapoor’s first collaboration with the RRR actor in a film. The actress, who debuted with Devara in 2024, will continue her foray into Telugu cinema with the upcoming sports drama film.
Additionally, the film stars Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role and AR Rahman is composing the music track and score. According to various reports, Ram Charan will soon be joining the film for a brief schedule till the end of January.
Moving on, Ram Charan was last seen playing the lead role in the film Game Changer. Released on January 10, 2025, the film is a political action drama directed by Shankar.
The film tells the story of an honest IAS officer who wants to eliminate corruption from the political system and conduct fair elections. With the officer leading the mission, the man meets a corrupt politician, and a fight begins between them.
Additionally, the film also features Charan in dual roles of father and son. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah and many other actors in lead roles.
