Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan starrer Rakshastram continues its winning streak at the box office. The film has made huge earnings in its 4-day long opening weekend.
Rakshastram earns Rs 3.5 crore on first Sunday; Storm crosses Rs 10 crore mark in Kerala
Directed by Jofin T Chacko, Rakshastram added Rs 3.50 crore on its fourth day i.e. Sunday. The total earning of the mystery crime thriller currently stands at Rs 10.50 crore at the Mollywood box office.
For those unaware, the film was released on Thursday and enjoyed an extended 4-day first weekend. The film took a strong opening of Rs 1.90 crore. Furthermore, it collected over Rs 2.10 crore and Rs 3 crore on the second and third day respectively.
Rakshastram is all set to emerge as another blockbuster of Asif Ali after his Onam release, Kishkindha Kaandam. This will be the first blockbuster of 2025.

Produced by Kavya Film Company and N Mega Media, Rakshastram stars Asif Ali in the role of a policeman and CI Vivek Gopinath. The star cast of the film also includes Anaswara Rajan, Mammootty, Siddique and Jagadish. The trailer of the latest release was released on YouTube in December 2024. Asif Ali was previously seen in the Malayalam mystery film Kishkindha Kaandam, which was released last year.
Directed by Joffin T. Chacko, the film faces competition from Marco at the Malayalam box office. The Unni Mukundan-starrer is the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024. It remains to be seen whether Asif Ali’s Rakshastram can outperform Marco in Kerala in the coming days.
