Filmmaker Shujit Sirkar is set to try something new with a comedy film characterized by two heroes. Rajkummar Rao has been finalized to play one of the lead roles in this satirical comedy with this still titled.

According to a report in PinkvillaActor and director have been in discussion for some time. “Rajkummar Rao and Shujit Sarkar are jamming about a possible cooperation for some time, and the energies have finally aligned this on a satirical comedy so far. Rajkumar has carried on the script, with the intention of starting shooting at the end of 2025,” the source revealed the entertainment portal.

On board with Rao, Hunt is now for the second lead. The government is allegedly looking for a reliable actor with strong comic sensations to complement Rao’s performance. “Brief simple-a reliable actor, with some comic timing. Shoojit also wants to work with safe people who do not interfere in the process of filmmaking. Two-hero films are difficult, and it is important to work with the right energy. Shoojit has found Raj, who align with his condolences and works for hunts.”

Once the second actor is confirmed, the production team is expected to finalize the filming schedule.

Meanwhile, Rajkumar Rao has a pack slate. He is currently ready for the release of the ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ built by Dinesh Vijan, and is also working on two of his own productions for direct release on Netflix. Additionally, ‘Sri and Mrs. Mahi’, Johvi Kapoor’s co-interaction, is ready to hit theaters on 31 May.
