Rajinikanth revealed that he was ‘shocked’ when he heard about Fahadh Faasil’s role in Vettaiyaan; They are called ‘natural artists’

Rajinikanth is all set to take the theaters by storm this year with his film Vettaiyaan, releasing on October 10, 2024. During the preview event of the film, the superstar praised his co-star Fahadh Faasil, who plays a comical role. Role in the film.

At the event, Rajinikanth said, “There is an extraordinary character in the film which is played by Fahadh Faasil. When they told me about this character, I was surprised to see who they had cast in this character. Then the director said that we don’t need to go to every actor and ask, we should cast only Fahadh Faasil for this role.

“I was surprised because the character is an entertaining role and I had seen only two Tamil films of Fahadh Faasil. One is Vikram and the other is Maamannan. In both, he was playing serious characters along with villainy. What an artist he is! I have never seen a natural artist like him in my entire life. It is beyond words.”

Vettaiyaan, directed by Jai Bheem’s TJ Gnanavel, is an action drama film with the superstar playing the role of an IPS officer. The film stars Fahadh Faasil in a character named Patrick, who is said to be a humorous figure in the film.

It is expected that the film will show a clash of ideologies with Rajinikanth’s character being an encounter specialist and Amitabh Bachchan’s character standing for human rights. The cop drama flick also stars Big B in the lead role, sharing the screen with the superstar after 33 years.

Additionally, the film also stars Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Abhirami, Kishore and many others in lead roles. The film will also mark Anirudh Ravichander’s fourth collaboration with the superstar.

Apart from this, Rajinikanth who was recently discharged from the hospital after a medical procedure is working on the film Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The glimpse of the film which is touted to be a high-octane action thriller was revealed, which was a perfect treat for Thalaivar fans.

The upcoming film, which is likely to release in 2025, also stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj and many more in lead roles.
