South stalwarts Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna praised Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. While Thalaivar called the film ‘epic’, Nagarjuna felt that ‘Indian cinema has done it again.’ Prabhas’ film, which released on June 27, is garnering commercial and critical acclaim.

Rajinikanth watched ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and praised director Nag Ashwin and the film’s team. He wrote, “Watched Kalki. Wow! What a brilliant film! Director @nagashwin7 has taken Indian cinema to another level. Heartiest congratulations to my dear friend @AswiniDutt @SrBachchan @PrabhasRaju @ikamalhaasan @deepikapadukone and the team of #Kalki2898AD. Can’t wait for part 2. God bless.”

To this Ashwin replied, “Sir, speechless blessings to you from our entire team.”

Later, Nagarjuna congratulated the team of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and praised Nag Ashwin, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and the rest of the cast. He wrote, “Congratulations to the super duper #Kalki2898AD team!! Nagi you took us to a different time and a different place. You combined fantasy with mythology and history so seamlessly!! (sic).”

He further added, “Amit ji, the real mass hero sir, you are breathing fire. Can’t wait to see Kamal ji in the sequel, it was a joy to watch him! Prabhas you did it again!! Deepika ji you look so divine and believable as the divine mother!! And the rest of the team

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ grossed Rs 191.5 crore worldwide. Saconilc As per reports, the film earned Rs 54 crore on the second day, taking its second day collection to Rs 149.30 crore.

Director Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a science-fiction dystopian film based on Hindu mythology. The film features SS Rajamouli, Vijay Deverakonda, Ram Gopal Varma, Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in cameo roles.
