Speaking to the media, Thalaivar said that Narendra Modi becoming Prime Minister for the third time is a ‘great achievement’. He said that this is a healthy sign of democracy.
Rajinikanth will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi and his new cabinet on Sunday. Speaking to the media before leaving for Delhi from Chennai, Rajinikanth said that Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time after Jawaharlal Nehru and called it an ‘achievement’.
“Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. This is a huge achievement. My best wishes to him. People have also chosen a strong opposition in this parliamentary election. This will establish a healthy democracy. I have received an invitation for the swearing-in ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. I will inform you about going there,” he said at the airport later, according to an ANI report.
Rajinikanth said, “I hope there will be good governance in the next five years.”

Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi will take oath as the leader of the coalition government at 7.15 pm on Sunday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ceremony will be attended by dignitaries and special invitees from neighbouring countries and the Indian Ocean region. Traffic restrictions and airspace restrictions have been imposed in the national capital in view of the event.
