Veteran actor Mohanlal shared a long note on Facebook and talked about his relationship with the late actor-director.

Actor-producer Dulquer Salmaan shared his tribute on Instagram stories and wrote, “A cinematic legend. One of the greatest contributors to Malayalam cinema. Someone I looked up to as family and had the privilege of sharing screen space with. Srini uncle. Your light will always live on. Prayers and strength to Vimala aunty, Vineeth, meditation and the entire family (sic).”

Actor Vineeth’s note on Instagram read, “My dear Sreenithan, I am unable to digest the reality that he is no more. Sreenithan was always a guru and also a great friend to me. So many memories and precious moments with the great film personality. He was definitely a revolutionary in Malayalam cinema, who redefined humor and scripts with his incredible writing. An irreparable loss to our film industry. Oridathu, Ghazal, Blessed to do Chambakkulam, he will be greatly missed as an actor in Thachan, Maanathe Vellitheru and in many other stage shows in India. Spanning nearly five decades, Sreenivasan acted in more than 225 films. He was widely acclaimed for his sharp social satire and lively characters on screen. His performances consistently resonated with audiences, earning him a permanent place in the hearts of Malayalam cinema audiences.
According to reports, Srinivasan’s last rites will be held on December 21 at 10 am at his residence.
