Rajinikanth’s jailer was released in 2023 and became a quick hit at the box office. It emerged as one of the highest -grossing films of the year and 2 most Tamil Groser after the Leo of Thalapathi Vijay.
While nothing is surprising about the success of the film in India, it is notable to mention the campaign for the jailer in Japan. As Rajinikanth’s official Japanese fan Page said, the jailer is to be released in many theaters across the country on 21 February.

For those who are unknown, Rajinikanth has always enjoyed a terrible fan in Japan, as has been seen in the past from the craze around his films. In particular, the actor’s 1995 film Muthu, released in Japan in 1998, made him a superstar in the country. At that time Muthu was released on 50 screens across the country.
The jailer is a Tamil language action drama, starring superstars Rajinikanth, Shiv Rajkumar, Mohanlal, Vinayakan, Vasant Ravi, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan and many other lead roles.
The film is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and it is Kalanithi N. The Sun Pictures has been manufactured under the banner by Maran. Anirudh Ravichender composed the background score and soundtrack of the film. Vijay Karthik Kannan handled the cinematography of the film, while R. Nirmal edited the film.
Rajinikanth will be seen next time in Lokesh Kanagarj’s director Cool, whose shooting is moving at a stable speed. The film also stars Kannada superstar Upendra, Malayalam actor Saubin Shahir, Telugu cinema mythological actor Nagarjuna and many other notable actors.
Going from Lokesh’s interviews, Coolie has never seen political before, promised to never show Avatar. The director has also called it an experimental film, which has created enthusiasm among the film fans.
After cool, actor will also act in the sequel to jailer, written and directed by Nelson’s music by Anirudh Ravichender. Kalanithi n. Maran the Sun Pictures will return to the project as the producer of the film under the banner.
