Indian Railways has officially launched the Railon app. It is a new all-in-one mobile app designed to simplify the train journey across the country and to integrate various train-related services in a single, streamlined platform for Indian railway passengers. The app has features such as booking, live train tracking, food delivery, grievance redressal, and more.

1 by Indian Railways. New app:

The Railon App was unveiled by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on the 40th Foundation Day of the Center for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) during a public event in New Delhi. According to the ministry, this new app for Indian Railways passengers is designed to combine railway related services effectively for passengers, which are scattered in different apps in one platform by combining all trains related services.

2. Rebranded version of Swarrael App:

Interestingly, Railon is not completely new. It seems that the Swarlal app is renamed and advanced version, which had been undergoing pilot tests for several months. Now officially rolled out for Android and iOS platforms, Railon is available to all users that are available with increased features and full -scale support.

3. All Indian Railways offers related services:

Till now railway related services were scattered in many apps. However, the new Railon app connects features with many popular apps such as IRCTC Rail Connect, Utsonmobile, NTES, Rail Madad and Food on the track. So users can use all services from ticket booking to grievance redressal, although just one platform.

4. Reserve and unreserved ticket booking:

In particular, IRCTC will continue to handle reserved ticket booking. However, it has also authorized the Railon App to enable users to book both reserved and unreserved tickets through their platforms. UTS and IRCTC users can login to the Railon app using their IRCTC existing credentials, which can eliminate the registration process again.

5. Live train tracking and real -time updates

The Railon App also offers a live tracking facility that allows train passengers to track train locations, platform numbers and the required delay in real time.

6. Railon also provides r-wallet

The Railon app also has an integrated e-wallet called R-wallet. This is the Indian Railways in-House Digital Payment System. Using R-Walter for trainbooking, users may get a 3 percent discount on unreserved tickets booked. These payments will be certified through biometric or MPIN for added safety.

7. All-in-one train travel assistance:

The Therailone app also has additional travel facilities including PNR status updates, booking history, coach position finder, food delivery to your seat, porter booking, final-meal taxi option and even cancellation or refund management for no-show.

8. Multilingual support:

The India Ministry of Railways said that the newly launched railone is a simplified user interface for easy use. It also supports many Indian languages, making it more accessible to passengers in diverse fields.

9. PRS Integration:

The launch comes ahead of the planned rollout of a new passenger reservation system (PRS) by December 2025. Update PRS is expected to handle more traffic, support more booking options and provide more access to Indian railway passengers.

10. How to download Railon:

Railon app is available to both iOS and Android users. To download and sign in:

– Go to Google Play Store or App Store and download the Railon App.
– After downloading, log in to the app using your IRCTC credentials or create a new profile.
– Once signed in, you will see the home page with all available services through the Railon app.
